Fluxer is built for the web first. We don't make native mobile apps, but you can install Fluxer as a Progressive Web App (PWA) on your phone or tablet for an app-like experience.

Progressive Web App Installation

Why PWA Instead of Native Apps?

Fluxer works the same way across all devices because it's built with web technology. This means:

• We can update the app instantly without waiting for app stores
• You get the same features on every device
• We only need to maintain one codebase
• We support open web standards

Mobile Installation

iOS Installation (Safari Required)

To install Fluxer as a PWA on iOS:

1. Open Safari and navigate to fluxer.app/channels/@me
2. Tap the Share button (square with arrow pointing up) at the bottom center of the screen
3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
4. Customize the app name if desired, then tap "Add"
5. Important: Open Fluxer from your home screen (not Safari) and log in to your account to ensure full functionality

Note: You need to install Fluxer as a PWA to get push notifications on mobile. The regular web version doesn't work as well on mobile browsers.

Android Installation

Chrome (Most Common Method):

1. Open Chrome and navigate to fluxer.app/channels/@me
2. On the right of the address bar, tap More (⋮) and then Add to home screen and then Install
3. Follow the on-screen instructions
4. Log in from the installed app for the best experience

Alternative browsers (Samsung Internet, Edge, Brave):

1. Navigate to fluxer.app/channels/@me in your browser
2. Look for an install prompt banner, or tap the browser menu
3. Select "Add to Home Screen" or "Install App"
4. Follow the prompts to complete installation

Note: Firefox on Android has limited PWA support and will create a bookmark instead of a full app installation.

Desktop Installation

Fluxer works great as a regular website on desktop, but you can also install it as an app:

Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera):

1. Navigate to fluxer.app/channels/@me
2. Click the install icon in the address bar, or
3. Go to browser menu > "Install Fluxer" or "Add to Desktop"

Firefox: Doesn't support PWA installation, but Fluxer works fine in Firefox as a regular website.

Third-Party Clients Welcome

Fluxer is free and open source, so anyone can build their own clients:
