Fluxer is a free and open source instant messaging platform headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. We believe chat software should respect your privacy, give you control over your data, and stay independent from advertising-driven incentives.

All roles are fully remote. We're currently focused on hiring trust and safety analysts and support representatives. We hire internationally through Deel for candidates outside Sweden, the EEA, and Switzerland.
Build and ship user-facing features across our full stack, from the React client to backend services in TypeScript.
Design and maintain the infrastructure that keeps Fluxer running, from CI/CD pipelines to container orchestration and database operations.
Own the reliability and performance of Fluxer at scale, building observability tooling, incident response processes, and capacity planning.
Lead Fluxer's trust and safety function, setting policy direction, managing escalations, and building a safe platform for all users.
Investigate and act on reports of abuse, review content policy violations, and help shape enforcement decisions that protect the community.

Starting at approximately €2,750/month for full-time roles, negotiable based on experience, location, and the scope of the role. Part-time and contractor arrangements are available at adjusted rates.
A one-time signing bonus of approximately €2,000 for all new hires, paid with your first salary.
Work from anywhere. We're based in Stockholm, but the whole team works remotely.
We care about output, not hours logged. Work when you're most productive, with reasonable overlap for collaboration.
Everything we build is open source. Your work is visible, attributable, and contributes to the broader ecosystem.
We'll make sure you have the hardware and software you need to do your best work.

Fluxer is headquartered in Sweden, but we hire internationally. If you're based in Sweden, the EEA, or Switzerland, you can be employed directly.
For candidates in other countries, we hire through Deel, a global payroll and HR platform that handles local employment contracts, tax compliance, and benefits in more than 150 countries. This means we can hire you as a local employee in your home country without you needing to relocate or obtain a Swedish work permit.
If you'd prefer to work from Sweden and need a work permit, we're happy to sponsor the application process.
